Letter from the Chairs

It is our pleasure to invite you to attend the World Congress on Gastrointestinal Cancer: Asian Perspectives, 26-27 August 2011 in Seoul, South Korea. We are pleased this year to be holding the meeting with the cooperation of the Korean Association for Clinical Oncology (KACO) and the Korean Cancer Study Group (KCSG) and in conjunction with the KACO/KCSG Annual Review: 2011 Advances in Oncology.

This 2-day scientific meeting will provide state-of-the-art information on the multi-disciplinary management of patients with gastrointestinal cancer including contemporary treatment options, surgical techniques, and current trends and controversies. Case discussions in each session bring clinical reality to the agenda. On Saturday, we will come together with the KACO/KCSG Annual Review, for a joint session featuring the highlights from American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Annual Meeting and the ESMO World Congress on Gastrointestinal Cancer.

The conference faculty is made up of prominent specialists from 3 continents. Guided by these internationally-recognized experts, you will update your knowledge on common and uncommon tumors, confirm your current practices and receive valuable take-home information that will allow you to optimize care of your patients.

We know you will find the World Congress on Gastrointestinal Cancer: Asian Perspectives to be a valuable educational event, and we hope you will join us in the dynamic city of Seoul. As Korea’s capital and most populous city, Seoul is the country’s center for business, education, and modern culture.
