No specialized knowledge or skill other than general familiarity with hematology or internal medicine is required for successful participation in this program.

  O B J E C T I V E S

After completion of this educational activity, participants should be able to:

  • Recognize the molecular mechanisms, biology and drug targets of the myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS) and myeloproliferative diseases (MPD)
  • Translate current controversies in management of MDS and MPD into improved patient outcomes
  • Implement new treatment modalities in MDS and MPD
  • Review the latest updates in overcoming drug resistance for MDS and MPD
  • Discuss the pipeline of novel agents for MDS and MPD and their impact on future patient care
