Dear Colleague,

It is with great pleasure and enthusiasm that we invite you to attend the 8th Annual Perspectives in Colorectal Cancer. We are excited to be meeting this year in sunny Miami, Florida, and are looking forward to an exceptional educational event.

The Annual Perspectives in Colorectal Cancer conference is designed to provide medical and radiation oncologists, gastroenterologists, colorectal surgeons, and oncology and gastroenterology nurses with a comprehensive overview of this important and evolving fi eld. Our panel of world-renowned experts will touch on the most salient aspects of the biology and pathogenesis, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of colorectal cancer. We will discuss the status of the latest treatment modalities as well as promising emerging approaches to therapy. Our ultimate goal is to provide you with the information needed to optimize care of your colorectal cancer patients and to direct your attention to those trends and evolutions that are worth watching.

You will notice that we have added the name of the World Congress on Gastrointestinal Cancer to our conference to refl ect our joint association. The WCGC is the largest and most important international Congress on gastrointestinal cancers. The most recent advances in colorectal cancer as presented at the World Congress on Gastrointestinal Cancer in Barcelona will be summarized in a special overview lecture at Perspectives in Colorectal Cancer, providing attendees with worldwide perspectives and the most cutting edge information.

Also new this year, we will be reviewing and discussing challenging cases submitted by clinical oncology fellows. Special lectures on the historical perspective of where we’ve been and where we’re going in colorectal cancer, as well as pharmacoeconomics of colorectal cancer management will provide valuable take-home messages.

We are sure you will find this meeting to be informative and enjoyable. We look forward to welcoming you in Miami this September!

Sincerely,

Chair
