Dear Colleague
It is with great pleasure and enthusiasm that we invite you to attend the 13th Annual Perspectives in Breast Cancer Program. Over the past thirteen years, this meeting has become a dynamic forum for leaders in breast cancer research and patient care to increase their knowledge and share their challenges and successes in disease management and patient care.
It is common knowledge that breast cancer is the second leading cause of cancer mortality. Nearly 300,000 women in the United States will be diagnosed with some form of the disease this year alone. Significant media and medical attention to this disease has stimulated a large body of research dedicated to the detection, diagnosis, treatment and prevention of breast cancer, and as a result, our knowledge of the etiology and mechanisms of the disease has unfolded at a highly accelerated pace.
The wealth of available data in this rapidly evolving field makes it difficult for practitioners to weed out quality research and pertinent data. Thus, this conference is designed to provide you, as a practicing clinician, with a comprehensive overview of this important and evolving field. Our panel, which is composed of leading clinicians and researchers involved with breast cancer, will provide the latest information on state-of-the-art developments from the leading cancer centers and academic institutions.
Please join us this fall in Boston for a rewarding professional update!
Sincerely,
Edith A. Perez, MD
