We
are pleased to invite you to attend the
4th European Congress on Hematologic
Malignancies: From Clinical Science to
Clinical Practice, which will be held
22-24 February 2008, in beautiful and
historic Paris, France! The focus of
this congress is to provide a forum to
review state-of-the-art and present new
data on the diagnosis and management
of myeloma, lymphoma and related disorders
as well as give attendees the opportunity
to exchange ideas with world-renowned
opinion leaders.
Last
year’s congress, held in Athens,
Greece, was attended by more than 650
hematologists and oncologists from
65 countries, most of whom are directly
involved in patient care. Their highly
positive review of the educational
content, quality of the speakers, and
presentation excellence attests to
the overall satisfaction of the attendees
and the value of continuing with a
comprehensive update on hematologic
oncology management.
To
complement the exceptional scientific
experience this congress brings, Paris
offers the perfect setting for enjoyable
after-hours relaxation. There are few
cities that can compete with the history,
charm, arts and dining experiences that
Paris has to offer. We hope you
will join us in this beautiful and historic
city for a stimulating and enjoyable
congress, as this meeting promises to
be an exciting, interactive and educational
experience for all attendees.

After
successfully completion of this course,
attendees should be able to:
- Describe
the biology, management and current treatment
options of myeloma and lymphoma, as well
as chronic myelogenous leukemia, in both
the front-line and relapsed/refractory
settings
- Demonstrate thorough knowledge
and current clinical understanding of
indolent lymphomas and related diseases
- Discuss recent advances in prognostic
indicators, front-line and relapsed/refractory
treatment and novel agents in chronic
lymphocytic leukemia
- Evaluate chemotherapy, radioimmunotherapy,
targeted therapy, and transplantation
as treatment options for various stages
of follicular lymphoma
- Employ
current and novel strategies to improve
diagnose and treatment outcomes in
aggressive non-Hodgkin’s lymphomas
- Integrate
important advances in the front-line
and targeted treatment in T-cell lymphomas,
with a focus on anaplastic large cell
lymphoma, angioimmunoblastic lymphoma,
and cutaneous T-cell lymphoma
- Impact
survival outcomes by assimilating the
mechanism of action, toxicity, therapeutic
response and overcoming of drug resistance
with both current and emerging tyrosine
kinase inhibitors in chronic myelogenous
leukemia
