  O B J E C T I V E S

After successful completion of this program, the participant will be able to:

  • Describe the role of anticoagulation as a standard of care for improving patient outcomes in VTE and stroke
  • Assess the advantages and disadvantages of various anticoagulation therapies, including pharmacologic and pharmacokinetic properties, based on current clinical evidence
  • Discuss the integration of emerging antithrombotic agents into treatment strategies for the prevention and treatment of venous thrombosis
