This activity is designed for medical oncologists, oncology surgeons, dermatologists, and other physicians and health professionals who manage melanoma patients and are involved in melanoma basic and clinical science research.

  O B J E C T I V E S imedextra

After successful completion of this course, attendees should be able to:

  • Provide an overview of melanoma genetics, epidemiology, and currently accepted management practices
  • Analyze the rationale for novel targeted agents directed towards modulation of the immune response to melanoma
  • Identify the clinical characteristics of CTLA-4 monoclonal antibodies including antitumor activity, kinetics of response and the nature of associated immune-related adverse events
  • Describe case studies illustrating expected clinical characteristics of anti-CTLA-4 therapy and guidelines for management of associated immune-related adverse events
