This educational activity is specifically designed for hematologists,oncologists, internists and other physicians, physicians in-training, nurses and related healthcare professionals interested and/or involved in the care of patients with hematologic malignancies.

  O B J E C T I V E S imedextra

After successful completion of this course, attendees should be able to:

  • Examine the role of lenalidomide, bortezomib and doxorubicin in the management of multiple myeloma, and how they may be incorporated into standard induction chemotherapy regimens
  • List the current treatment modalities for the management of patients with relapsed multiple myeloma
  • Compare and contrast the various combinations of agents available for treatment of relapsed/refractory non-Hodgkin lymphoma
  • List the new agents available for the treatment of non-Hodgkin lymphoma and assess their role in current disease management
  • Discuss and describe the emerging data regarding the importance and management of minimal residual disease in chronic lymphocytic leukemia
  • Integrate novel agents and new therapy combinations into the clinical management of chronic lymphocytic leukemia
  • Discuss the role of genomic profiling in the stratification of myelodysplastic syndromes and apply that knowledge towards effective treatment planning
  • Implement current clinical trial data into the treatment of multiple myeloma, non-Hodgkin lymphoma, chronic lymphocytic leukemia and myelodysplastic syndromes to improve patient management strategies
