  I N V I T A T I O N

Dear Colleague:

It is our distinct pleasure to announce the 8th International Symposium on Febrile Neutropenia, to be held 26-28 January 2006 in Athens, Greece.

Over the past several years, this conference has grown into a prominent forum for discussion of current knowledge on the etiology, diagnosis, and state-of-the-art management of febrile neutropenia. We have gathered high-caliber, world-renowned experts in the fields of infectious disease, immunology, hematology and oncology to discuss a mélange of topics relevant to our field in both didactic and case-based presentations.

This year, we are particularly excited to hold the Symposium in Athens, Greece, undoubtedly one of the great centers of art, culture and science in the world. We are grateful to our hosts for helping us organize a program which will be not only professionally, but also culturally enlightening. The rich history and local flavor of this city make for a perfect setting for our conference, and will ensure a truly enjoyable experience.

We sincerely hope you can join us in Athens and help contribute to the growing success of our Symposium.

Sincerely,

Jean A. Klastersky, MD, PhD
Helen Giamarellou, MD, PhD
George A. Pettrikkos, MD
