Helpful Information on Train Transportation from Amsterdam Airport Schiphol to the Kurhaus Hotel

The Netherlands has an extensive and modern network of railways. Trains usually arrive on time and are considered comfortable and clean. The NS (Netherlands Railways) connects the big cities with intercity trains that only stop at the larger railway stations. From Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, there are two stations you may choose from to travel to The Hague.

Schiphol Airport to Den Haag Centraal (The Hague Central Station) - Departing from Amsterdam Airport Schiphol there are four trains an hour. A “sneltrein” (fast train or nonstop) train departs at: 29 and 59 minutes past the hour.

Schiphol Airport to Den Haag Hollands Spoor – the “intercity” train traveling nonstop departs at: 12, 15 and 45 minutes past the hour.

The Den Haag Centraal station is somewhat closer to the hotel than the Den Haage Hollands Spoor and it can be easier to catch a taxi from this location to the hotel. There is also a tram available from both stations to the hotel. Tram 9 toward Scheveningen can delivery you to Kurhaus Plein (square) which is located in front of the hotel.

Luggage: Luggage is carried directly onto the train by the passenger, with no additional baggage fees. Once on board, passengers may store their luggage in overhead compartments or sit/stand with their luggage in a storage area located at the rear of the cars.

Tickets: Ticket prices range from 7.30 € to 22.70 € depending on the ticket you purchase. Passengers may purchase tickets at the ticket service counters or in the ticket vending machines at the train area. Do not plan to purchase tickets directly from the conductor as this may increase the price.
