WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
This meeting is intended for urologists, medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, surgeons and other healthcare providers involved or interested in management of renal, bladder and prostate cancer.

 

OBJECTIVES
After successful completion of this continuing medical education activity, participants should be able to:
-Comment on current trends to improve the diagnosis and prognosis of renal, bladder, and prostate cancers
-Recommend treatment modalities and emerging therapeutic approaches based on assimilation of expert-guided case presentations
-Implement state-of-the-art surgical advancements in renal, bladder and prostate cancers
-Improve patient stratification for front-line use of systemic therapies in metastatic and advanced renal cell carcinomas
-Stratify patients according to eligibility for open or laparoscopic partial nephrectomy
-Determine clinical approach for patients non-responsive to sunitinib treatment in advanced renal cell carcinoma
-Minimize toxicities associated with the use of targeted therapies in the treatment of metastatic or advanced disease in renal cell carcinoma
-Compare and contrast systemic therapy regimens for hormone-sensitive and hormone-refractory prostate cancer
-Highlight recent advances in targeting the androgen receptor axis to improve treatment modalities in prostate cancer
-Employ the optimal type and timing of radiation therapy in localized prostate cancer
-Discuss the role of androgen deprivation therapy in patients with prostate cancer
-Implement strategies to manage erectile dysfunction following prostate cancer treatment
-Implement bone-sparing agents into clinical practice to prevent or minimize the toxicities experienced in patients on hormonal therapy regimens 
-Recommend the most effective therapeutic approaches for patients with non-invasive bladder cancer
-Integrate adjuvant and neoadjuvant therapeutic strategies to improve upon current patient outcomes in locally advanced bladder cancer
-Select the most appropriate clinical approach to treat locally advanced and metastatic bladder cancer in terms of  transurethral resection, cystectomy, and systemic therapy
-Review the role of intravesical chemotherapy in bladder cancer and recommend the most favorable agent
