Thesis: The systemic treatment of choice for patients with platinum-sensitive recurrent ovarian carcinoma (defined as having achieved a clinical complete response to initial platinum-based therapy and having recurred more than six months after completion of initial treatment) is the following:

Single agent carboplatin

Carboplatin-based doublet (carboplatin plus either PLD, gemcitabine, or paclitaxel)

Carboplatin-based doublet (carboplatin plus either PLD, gemcitabine, or paclitaxel) plus bevacizumab followed by bevacizumab maintenance
