The 6th European Congress: Perspectives in Gynecologic Oncology promises to be an exciting educational event where case presentations and expert discussion led by key opinion leaders in the field will provide the foundation of the program content for practitioners involved in the diagnosis and management of gynecological cancers. Through this focus on case-based discussion, practical approaches to the management of cervical, endometrial and ovarian cancers can be applied to clinical practice.
Who Should Attend
This educational activity is intended for gynecologists, oncologists, radiation therapists, pathologists, and other practitioners involved in the diagnosis and management of gynecologic cancers including ovarian, endometrial, and cervical cancers.
Educational Objectives
After successfully completing this educational activity, participants should be able to:
- Assess the impact of recently available human papilloma virus (HPV) vaccines on the prevention of cervical cancer
- Apply advances in chemotherapy strategies and surgical approaches to clinical practice for advanced and metastatic cervical cancer
- Summarize advances in and the role of adjuvant radiotherapy and chemotherapy in the management of endometrial cancer
- Discuss recent clinical advances among uterine sarcomas, carcinosarcomas, and vulvar cancer as they relate to the therapeutic management of these diseases
- Determine the optimal surgical management of ovarian cancer based on disease stage and clinical presentation
- Discuss clinical data that may provide evidence to support new treatment options in the management of ovarian cancer
